Oh that’s good news. Clearly I have to look more closely when I’m next at the Fish Markets!

]]>Hi Eva! I absolutely don’t mind at all, I respect informed opinions and I actually have many Tasmanian friends who avoid salmon. I know that salmon farming is a sensitive topic. It’s funny you mention Norway salmon because I try to avoid buying overseas produce, partly for mileage reasons, partly to support the Australian industry. I am aware of the environmental impact, but I also believe Huon to be more respectful of the environmental impact of their business compared to the other major brand down in Tassie. I’m also aware of the environmental impact of other common foods, like cattle, palm oil. I try to be respectful and eat in moderation. Because I have a pretty varied diet, I actually don’t eat a lot of any single meat or fish etc! Please don’t apologise for rocking the boat, opinions, views and thoughts are always, always welcome here. Thank you for sharing Eva! – N x
]]>Hi Mrs Sally! It comes down to the quality of the fish monger or whomever shucked the oysters 🙂 It’s annoying, I know, because it’s hard to see!! 🙁 N x
